    Fujitsu LifeBook® P1630 Tablet PC

With its feather-light weight, innovative bi-directional hinge, and versatile touch screen display, the LifeBook P1630 notebook is one of the most compelling mobile computing products on the market today. This ultra-portable tablet computer offers dual-core power and the convenience of a notebook with the unique versatility to handle special-purpose applications that are best suited for a slate tablet.

Genuine Windows Vista® Operating System
Genuine Windows Vista® introduces a breakthrough user experience and is designed to help you feel confident in your ability to view, find, and organize information and to control your computing experience.

For small businesses, Windows Vista operating system helps keep PCs running smoothly and securely, with less reliance on dedicated IT support.

For larger organizations, Windows Vista operating system provides dramatic new infrastructure improvements, enabling IT staff to spend more time adding strategic value to the business. It also offers powerful new ways to organize, find, and share information, while helping people stay better connected in the office and on the road.

Flexible Form Factor
Whether you're toting this tiny convertible to a customer site, visiting patients, or running from meeting to meeting, the LifeBook P1630 Tablet PC offers you the comfort and ease of a notebook combined with the amazing versatility of a Tablet PC.

While it's in tablet mode, you can fill out forms and draw directly on the screen just like you would on your clipboard. Back at the office, simply flip the screen up and around to transform the system into a traditional notebook to type emails, reports, and presentations.

Wide-Format Touch Screen
The LifeBook P1630 display is touch-sensitive. Using a stylus or your finger, you can quickly and easily navigate through your applications and the Web. It also has a 15:9 wide-format aspect ratio, which maximizes the viewing area for forms and spreadsheets.

Stay connected with wireless Broadband anywhere
Get broadband speeds with your Fujitsu notebook without cables or Wi-Fi hotspots. AT&T offers broad U.S. wireless data coverage across the AT&T 3G BroadbandConnect Network nationwide. The AT&T network delivers high-speed Internet access covering more than 260 major US metropolitan areas. Additionally, you can connect seamlessly to AT&T's national high-speed EDGE network, covering over 13,000 cities and towns and reaching more than 250 million people and growing.
Unlike wireless LAN which requires Wi-Fi routers and local hotspots to access the Internet, AT&T BroadbandConnect provides wireless Internet access virtually anywhere. There is no need for an external card, an additional antenna, or accessories. When you purchase a Fujitsu notebook with built-in AT&T wireless, all you need to do is install the SIM card that comes with the system, and use the on-board software to activate and connect.

Traveling internationally? A Fujitsu notebook with integrated AT&T mobile wireless service allows you to take your office with you, and access business-critical information in more than 139 different countries with AT&T roaming partners.

An additional monthly service fee and a 2-year service agreement are required.

Pre-Boot Authentication (PBA)
Pre-boot Authentication (PBA) allows you to log in prior to Windows' own authentication, before the system boots up. A PBA environment serves as an extension of the BIOS or boot firmware and allows for a more secure environment external to the operating system (OS). It's one more layer of security to protect your valuable data. With PBA, you can reduce the risk of malicious attackers gaining access to your data by not loading the OS until the user is authenticated. This hinders the use of tools that hackers use to try to bypass the OS.

Computrace BIOS-enabled models
Integrated Computrace® BIOS tracking agent from Absolute Software embedded in the BIOS firmware is designed to provide innovative theft recovery solutions with optional Computrace software. Employing Computrace software solutions allows organizations to efficiently monitor system use, recover stolen or missing machines, and remotely delete data, if necessary. Computrace software solutions also provides the added value of proactively enforcing computer data security policies across the entire organization, increasing both end-user and administrator productivity.

Uncompromised Security
The very nature of mobile computing makes it a high security risk; with that in mind, the LifeBook P1630 Tablet PC was engineered to protect your data with measures that are easy to use yet extremely difficult to breach. To create this security-rich environment, Trusted Platform Module (TPM), built-in biometric Fingerprint Sensor, and a universal lock slot come standard on every LifeBook P1630 Tablet PC.

Added Durability
With its sleek and solid design, the LifeBook P1630 Tablet PC not only looks great, but will also stand up to the rigors of travel and everyday use. The magnesium alloy upper and lower case provides more protection than plastic casings found on other notebooks. In addition, the hard drive is shock-mounted and protected by the Fujitsu Shock Sensor hard drive protection system. Fujitsu craftsmanship and quality are included as a standard feature on our LifeBook P1630 Tablet PC.

Fujitsu Shock Sensor Utility
In the event your hard disk drive experiences excessive vibration or shock, there is a possibility that the read-write head will come in contact with the rotating platter, resulting in a "head crash." If this happens, data loss may occur. The Fujitsu Shock Sensor utility is a sophisticated hard disk drive protection system designed to minimize the likelihood of such an event.

Inside the LifeBook P1630 there is an accelerometer that constantly senses for any sudden movement, including free falls, excessive vibration, or sudden impacts. Fujitsu Shock Sensor monitors movement from three axes: front-to-back, side-to-side, and up-and-down. The sensitivity can be adjusted by the user to accommodate different working environments.

If a sudden movement is detected, the read-write head is quickly retracted to a safe zone, reducing the possibility of a head crash and the potential loss of data. This technology reduces the risk of your hard drive being damaged and your data being lost forever.

Flexible Communication
With both a modem and Ethernet LAN port built in, you have flexibility in how you connect. The Gigabit Ethernet port has fast 10/100/1000 Mbps transfer speeds to provide high-speed connection to your office network or broadband Internet.

Abundant User Interfaces
This system supports plug-and-play accessories and peripherals with PCMCIA PC Card Slot, USB 2.0. RJ-11, RJ-45, VGA out, microphone, and stereo headphone ports and connectors.

Quality and Reliability
The tight interaction between Fujitsu design, engineering, manufacturing and service support creates some of the highest quality products offered in the PC market. In a time when most PCs are assembled by third-party vendors, Fujitsu takes pride in its own world-class design and manufacturing capabilities.

P1630 Warranty
One- or three-year International Limited Warranty on select corporate configurations; 24/7 technical support; Fujitsu extended service plans available.
