Village View - Opening 2010

Requirement

Wi-Fi coverage (802.11b/g) for the two pools and the TV Lounge for the Village View. Village View is located adjacent to the successful development, The Village, and has excellent access to the Dallas Central Business District, the Northwest Highway, Central Expressway, as well as a variety of retail, cultural, recreational and municipal services. With 422 residential units on approximately 13.2 acres, the development will become a part of the North Central Dallas transformation. This urban renaissance includes the revitalization of the Old Town Center, the conversion of older apartment buildings to condominiums or townhomes as well as the development of The Heights of Park Lane. When complete, the property’s central location with proximity to transportation, infrastructure, and NorthPark Center will attract a large and diverse group of affluent renters. Check back in mid to late 2009 for the finished product.

Solution

Broadband from Time Warner Cable for access to the internet, Outdoor Access Points for the two Pools utilizing the Time Warner provided routers. The TV Lounge Access Point will also be provided by Cisco.  All three Access Points will be powered using Cisco Power over Ethernet. Cabling was installed during construction.

First Pool - Under Construction

A Cisco Aironet 802.11b/g Outdoor Access Point with integrated antenna will
be used to provide 54Mbps coverage for the Pool and adjacent lounging area.

Second Pool - Under Construction

A Cisco Aironet 802.11b/g Outdoor Access Point with integrated antenna will
be used to provide 54Mbps coverage for the Pool and adjacent lounging area.

TV Lounge


A Cisco Aironet Indoor Access Point with integrated diverse antennas will be used
to provide 54Mbps coverage for the TV Lounge. The Access Point will be
mounted above and behind the 2nd Flat Panel planned for the lounge.
