Coupled with Mobility XE™ the GoBook VR-1 can also offer seamless IP roaming, enabling the user to stay securely connected when traveling between subnets or different network types, whether wireline or wireless.

The GoBook VR-1 was developed with multiple input options, a first-class graphics capability, upgradeable internal radio cards and memory, and a "no tools needed" removable shock-mounted hard drive. Inside or outside, day or night, the GoBook VR-1 is packed with features that make on-the-go computing as simple as possible. A built-in task light and a sensor-controlled brightness display overcome the problems of nighttime data entry and full-sun viewing.

Meeting military specifications for vibration, humidity & temperature specifications, the GoBook VR-1 can perform in conditions that would stop a commercial notebook computer in its tracks.
