Requirement
Wi-Fi coverage (802.11b and 802.11g) for the Club Room, Zen Garden and Pool
for the Mondrian , a 20 story high-rise with on-site retail in
pedestrian-friendly Uptown with spectacular panoramic views of
downtown Dallas, Turtle Creek and Park Cities.
Solution
DSL Broadband from SBC for access to the
internet, Cisco router, 3COM Access Point for the Club Room, Cisco
Outdoor Bridge/Access Point for the Zen Garden and Pool. The
Pool and Zen Garden access points were connected using Power over
Ethernet.
Club Room
A hidden 3COM
8250 Wireless
802.11b, 802.11g access point providing up to
253 Connections was used to provide Wi-Fi coverage in the Club Room.
Zen Garden
A Cisco
Aironet Wireless 1310 802.11b, 802.11g Outdoor Access Point/Bridge
with
integrated antenna was used to provide 54Mbps coverage to the Zen
Garden.
Pool
A Cisco
Aironet Wireless 1310 802.11b, 802.11g Outdoor Access Point/Bridge
with
integrated antenna was used to provide 54Mbps coverage to the Pool.
Installation Video
The installation video requires Windows
Media Player, a Broadband connection and your browser must allow Active-X Controls to be
run. If you do not allow Active-X Controls in your browser or
